Notes, memoranda, correspondence, proposals, reports, and summaries documenting the work of the Study for the Ford Foundation on Policy and Program, 1948-1950. Files document the fundamental decisions made by its members regarding the formulation of program disciplines and trustee selection, as well as the coordination of the study itself. The study culminated in the four volume REPORT OF STUDY FOR THE FORD FOUNDATION ON POLICY AND PROGRAM. Members of the Study Committee were H. Rowan Gaither Jr., Thomas H. Carroll, Charles C. Lauritsen, William C. DeVane, Donald G. Marquis, T. Duckett Jones, Peter H. Odegard, and Francis T. Spaulding. Staff members were William McPeak, Dyke Brown, Paul Bixler, and Don K. Price.
